NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION
SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
Notice is hereby given that at a duly convened meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Buchanan, Westchester County, New York, held on June 4, 2024, the said Board of Trustees duly adopted, subject to a permissive referendum, a resolution providing that Village of Buchanan elections shall be conducted by the Westchester County Board of Elections, that such elections shall continue to be held on the third Tuesday in March, and that the Village shall submit to the Westchester County Board of Elections proposed polling place(s) for designation by the Westchester County Board of Elections in consultation with the Village.
Said resolution exercises the authority of the Board of Trustees, pursuant to New York Election Law §15-104(1)(c), to transfer the conduct of Village elections to the Westchester County Board of Elections subject to other applicable provisions of the New York State Election Law.
The said resolution was adopted subject to permissive referendum as provided in Village Law Article 9.
